Meaning:
This verse emphasizes the power of the mind and self-mastery. It highlights that an individual has the responsibility to uplift themselves through self-control and discipline. The mind can either be an ally in this process, helping one rise to higher consciousness, or an obstacle, leading to self-destruction and degradation. The message is clear: mastering one’s mind is key to achieving spiritual growth and inner peace. The verse encourages self-effort and awareness, reminding us that the greatest enemy or friend lies within, in the form of the mind.
